Maps Reimagined
Think back to well before digital maps existed, and even modern paper maps. Those squiggly lines of the hand-drawn maps from early explorers annotated with beasts of the sea and land.
Our Maps Reimagined workshop takes inspiration from these early maps, recreating the places that you know and cherish in 2D. We’ll create a real sense of a place, but be warned – these maps would absolutely not help you to navigate anywhere!
Where will you recreate?

Who: Suitable for anyone, complete beginners to experienced artists. Ages 17+
What to bring: We’d encourage you to bring whatever media you enjoy using to these workshops, and a big pile of paper. If you’d like a little more direction, here’s what I usually use:
Caran d’Ache Luminance Pencils
Caran d’Ache Neopastel Oil Pastels
Caran d’Ache Gouache Red Palette
A2, A3 and A4 papers
